  • Jasmine Dragon Pearl - Buddha Tears Tea

Jasmine Dragon Pearl - Buddha Tears Tea

Jasmine Dragon pearl (also known as "Buddha Tears") is a green tea with few peers. Entire young tea leaves are plucked and then hand-rolled with jasmine petals making it the queen of jasmine-infused teas. Looking closely at the unopened pearls, one can see traces of the fine downy covering only found on the youngest leaves or unopened leaf buds - which is why this tea is often classified as a white tea. Strictly speaking, Jasmine Dragon Pearl is the imperial plucking (the bud and top most leaves are plucked together) so it's a white and green tea. When infused, the pearls unroll to reveal entire, long, needle type leaves and jasmine petals. As such this tea requires no straining, just gently decant while pouring. Drinking this tea is a sublime experience for the connoisseur. Only two pearls per cup & can be reinfused a number of times!! Highest grade tea.

Our speciality is loose leaf tea and we do sell infusers/empty tea bags. We currently do not carry tea bagged tea as we do believe to enjoy tea with all its true flavours, making tea with an infuser or teapot is the best way. Keep in mind loose leaf tea (especially Oolong) and many herbal infusions we carry requires a lot of room to expand in order for the true flavour to come out.

There are 6 classifications of true teas; Black, Pu-erh, Oolong, Green, Yellow, and White. The manufacture of tea for consumption involves a process of growing, harvesting, handling, and eventual drying to achieve a leaf moisture content of three to five percent. The various methods in which the tea is treated in each of these arenas determines the kind of tea produced.

World Par-TEA offers party plan 'Tea Tastings' to groups of 6 or more. We come to your home, place of work, club, school, retirement village etc with our exotic teas, herbal and well-being blends from around the world and a range of exciting, unique tea accessories.
